Gospel of evolution

I am sure it's very comforting to explain evolution as a clever act of God, but there is also great value in being able to hold two apparently contradictory notions (God+evolution) in your head at the same time because it acknowledges the obvious fact that we don't know everything there is to know about God, evolution or anything else.
